ARE THEY TRANS: TERAL FROM SPACE EMPEROR GOD SIGMA
JUSTIFICATION: "So, Teral is the main antagonist for most of the series until the last few episodes. halfway through the series, it's revealedthat Teral was originally a girl named Lila who had her conciousness transferred into an android shaped after the original Teral who died before the series began (which Teral didn't know until that point). Despite this, Teral wants to still be called Teral and referred to as a man and sees himself as such. The only one who knows this is Lagan, another one of the main antagonists." - @tpbon

Hi Hi hi ANOTHER ANON HERE (I just wanna be private) I just wanted to say I love your work and your writing rocks!
I was wondering, despite the obvious voice lines and what we kinda get from Galactic Emperor Sigma's depiction (for the crumb it was - thanks Blizzard) how do you go about characterizing him? I kinda like how you aren't afraid to make him into a bit of an asshole (lol) do you have a headcanon you go off?
There are quite a few of you guys! And it's all cool - as long as you're all comfortable! Never wanna force anyone x
This is an interesting one as it relates to my personal views on Sigma as a whole, which I could go on for HOURS ABOUT. Mainly because the trailer makes him come across as this maniacal hubris-based scientist who is incredibly intimidating and self-interested in his own research. Then you have the in-game characterisation which is this rather tragic figure being manipulated by an organisation that uses him as a weapon.
There is this beautiful dichotomy in his character (which is why he's so beloved, as he has this depth on a self-referential level). I do not doubt that he is equally as gentle and a tragic anti-hero as he is an egotistical and (at times) a vicious-mad-scientist force to be reckoned with. That's due to the in-game Canon!Sig voice lines range from quite endearing to being quite callous (to me at least). And I could go on and on about my personal feelings about the mental health allegories that can also be gleaned from him (I'm someone who has pretty bad anxiety and PTSD, so the drifting in and out of thoughts is something that got to me).
So for Emp!Sig, I wanted to magnify those aspects and dial them up to be more ruthless and more arrogant. And I loved that we got this antagonistic-bad-guy version who will call you a "pathetic worm" if you get in his way. But then I like the thought of him being multifaceted here too (I have this saying that I talk to my friends that I think of 'salty and sweet' when I write him). And I like giving him these little anxiety-fuelled moments where he's painfully vulnerable.
I have a lot to thank @akoiromanticstudent for (I tag her a lot as it's her help that's made her indulge this hard, and I love how she writes sig in his professor ways).
I have a literal page-by-page list in my notebook (because I'm crazy and do this for fun HAHA) of who I've taken some inspiration from for his characteristics so here we go I shall list a few (and this isn't even all of it so - lmao YOU ASKED)
Game of Thrones' Tywin Lannister is a massive influence on me as well. His dialogue is excellently written, and he was my favourite character in the series for being this rather diabolical yet magnificent bastard. I love how Charles Dance plays him as this character hardened by the world around him and too far gone with using violence as a means to an end. He's undoubtedly cruel and has this stubbornness that is fun to emulate and spar with.
I also take some inspiration from Hades - the Hellenic god (being a bit more of a neutral yet incredibly threatening force within ancient Greek polytheism). And his representation from the HADES game series and the Disney-fied version (for the back and fourth in his dialogue and dynamic).
I also really loved Peter Stormare's representation of Lucifer from the 05' Constantine film - I love how terrifying and threatening he is with his presence and invading personal spaces. Stormare plays him as this ancient, wise, sinister force, and I just adore it. Despite the film being of typical noughties-popcorn-movieness (but I love it for that too). So I've taken little pieces of that there as well.
Obviously, Star Wars plays as an influence (Darth Vader/Anakin being the tragic villain he is and Palpatine because I just love that silly evil old man.)
There's obviously a few Lovecraftian cosmic horror elements in there as well.
Also adding loads of representations of various Gods, Kings, and Emperors in history, Leonidas being one of them, Ceaser, Odin, Ra the list goes on and on all of which are in the mixing pot.
Thanks for reading this if you did I hope it was interesting - I get started on something and then it grows and grows because, as I said, I'm crazy.
#every day i wake up and think about galactic emperor sigma#and then i think about sigma#and then write in my stupid notebook every time i have an idea#asks#shut up conc#conc talks

Gonna be another good year for old mecha anime fans. Discotek announced they will release Mazinkaiser, Space Emperor God Sigma, and Lightspeed Electoid Albegas this year.
I always assumed that Albegas wouldn’t get a US English sub release. I’m curious whether or not it was difficult to obtain the license.

diavolo headcanons part two (bad edition)
-diavolo basically hasn’t interacted with anybody but doppio in over a decade when vento aureo takes place and it’s resulted in him having no idea how to hold a conversation. if you try to talk to him it’ll probably either result in you getting completely ignored, some rant/monologue about how he’s the ultimate god emperor of italy or being given a silent death glare for like fifteen seconds.
-diavolo is probably the type of guy to unironically call himself a “sigma male”
-he plays fortnite, but he refuses to play as any skin but rick from rick and morty and also sets up drug deals with the kids there (based off of a discord convo)
-diavolo likes standing idly in the corners of rooms for no reason. he just goes to a dark corner where the least amount of people are and stares off into space. (based off of me)
-he frequently forgets Trish’s name and had to have it written down in a notecard he kept in his pocket
-he has wasted multiple keyboards and other random objects because he keeps destroying them in fits of rage
-sometimes king crimson’s ability activates randomly while diavolo isn’t paying attention. that’s why i spend a few minutes mindlessly browsing the internet and look back at the clock and it’s 4 hours later
-he wastes like half of the mafia’s budget buying doppio random shit. one time doppio wanted to read warrior cats books so diavolo just dropped everything and bought him every single book in the entire series. (this is also why la squadra didn’t get paid enough)
-diavolo has no concept of a healthy sleep schedule whatsoever. he will stay up all night and then crash at 5 am in the morning regularly. in fact it was a struggle for him to wake up and get to the church where he was supposed to meet trish in time
-he feels the impulsive need to scream at any child he sees and it concerns everyone (he is staunchly anti-natalist and is also active on r/Childfree)
#these are basically canon as you can see#araki give me the rights to diavolo's character yes i am very responsible and can be trusted with him#diavolo#jjba#vento aureo#shitpost#headcanons#i think my perception of diavolo is heavily warped from me being left with my own thoughts w him for over a year#he's probably a lot more interesting in my brain than he is actually in canon#doppio is a warrior cats fan (it's canon araki told me)#diavolo jjba#drug mention.caution#shoe talks a lot

CIELAGO: any modified Chiroptera of Arrakis adapted to carry distrans messages. CONE OF SILENCE: the field of a distorter that limits the carrying power of the voice or any other vibrator by damping the vibrations with an image-vibration 180 degrees out of phase. CORIOLIS STORM: any major sandstorm on Arrakis where winds across the open flatlands are amplified by the planet’s own revolutionary motion to reach speeds up to 700 kilometers per hour. CORRIN, BATTLE OF: the space battle from which the Imperial House Corrino took its name. The battle fought near Sigma Draconis in the year 88 B.G. settled the ascendancy of the ruling House from Salusa Secundus. COUSINES: blood relations beyond cousins. CRUSHERS: military space vessels composed of many smaller vessels locked together and designed to fall on an enemy position, crushing it. CRYSKNIFE: the sacred knife of the Fremen on Arrakis. It is manufactured in two forms from teeth taken from dead sandworms. The two forms are “fixed” and “unfixed.” An unfixed knife requires proximity to a human body’s electrical field to prevent disintegration. Fixed knives are treated for storage. All are about 20 centimeters long. CUTTERAY: short-range version of lasgun used mostly as a cutting tool and surgeon’s scalpel. D DAR AL-HIKMAN: school of religious translation or interpretation. They are made of chromoplastic that turns a reflecting white when subjected to light, and reverts to transparency in darkness. The collector forms a markedly cold surface upon which dawn dew will precipitate. They are used by Fremen to line concave planting depressions where they provide a small but reliable source of water. DEW GATHERERS: workers who reap dew from the plants of Arrakis, using a scythelike dew reaper. DICTUM FAMILIA: that rule of the Great Convention which prohibits the slaying of a royal person or member of a Great House by informal treachery. The rule sets up the formal outline and limits the means of assassination. DISTRANS: a device for producing a temporary neural imprint on the nervous system of Chiroptera or birds. The creature’s normal cry then carries the message imprint which can be sorted from that carrier wave by another distrans. DOORSEAL: a portable plastic hermetic seal used for moisture security in Fremen overday cave camps. DRUM SAND: impaction of sand in such a way that any sudden blow against its surface produces a distinct drum sound. DUMP BOXES: the general term for any cargo container of irregular shape and equipped with ablation surfaces and suspensor damping system.
